8:00 Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Noi Old Town then depart for Duong Lam ancient village (50km far from Hanoi). Stop-over at Son Dong traditional sculpture village producing and supplying wooden statues for 20 mins to see most of pagodas and temples in Northern Vietnam.
10h30 Arrive at Duong Lam ancient village. Visit Mong Phu temple, some ancient houses and enjoy local products: rice wine, rice cakes.
11h00 Biking ride along peaceful countryside road to some historical vestiges such as: Giang Van Minh worship-house, Temples of King Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
11h30 Cycling uphill to see a natural holy “milking- well” storing clear water all the year round. It is believed to help childless couple produce a baby if drinking this water.
12h30 Become a member of the 400-year-ancient house while having lunch in here.
13h30 Visit Mia Pagoda
14h30 Take the bus back to Hanoi.
16h30 Arrive HaNoi, drop off at your hotel. End of the tour.
Duong Lam Ancient Village is a small comune of Son Tay town, it has a history dating back about 1200 years with many ancient local house in Dong Sang, Mong Phu and Ham Co Hamlets built in 17th Century. The ancient house here is made by brick and have the same architechture with row of columns and spans.
The most famous product in Duong Lam village is soybean sauce (Tương Bần), the mainly product in Hung Yen Province. If you spend one day explore Duong Lam, don’t forget to try green tea and a type of hard candy name “Kẹo Dồi“.
